Turning into a nerd about this one...last night I pre-ordered my IMAX ticket for the friday afternoon showing. I rarely get to the movies anymore unless it's something I can take my kids to. And somehow I don't think this movie will be appropriate for a 5 and a 9 year old. but maybe i'm just old fashioned ;)(even tho they've both seen the trailers and want to see it, especially the 9 year old.)

If i didn't have so much work on my plate this week I'd just be doing fanarts of all the characters. maybe I can squeeze a Silk Spectre in soon, we'll see. :)

anyone else looking forward to this? anyone thinking it won't live up to the hype? All the clips I've seen have blown me away. But I've been a fan of Zack Snyder's since his Dawn of the Dead remake. I just like the choices he makes in his movies.
  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: crystal method
  • Watching: Watchmen trailers (again!)
  • Playing: no time for games this week
  • Eating: pizza
  • Drinking: coffee

Just ditched work to see a a Noon showing (Monday). I was kinda disappointed.

Liked the graphic novel pretty well. I think they left out important things that really led to help the reader understand why the characters acted the way they did.

There was definitely a lot of stuff they could have added for the character traits...hopefully those will show up on the dvd/blu ray. but i was happy to get what we did :)

If you read the comic, it's disappointing...

Otherwise, it's a typical action movie. I got pre-screening tickets to see it. Granted I'm disappointed at it's outcome, I can understand why they made as it's finalized.

I actually dug the hell out of it. (but i loved the comic too). I treated the movie more as reminder that I should read the book again :) It was an interesting exercise seeing what could be translated and what couldn't from comic form to film.

lol, oh it definately made me want to pick up the comic again. I'm convinced (via my friends) that I was expecting too much...

and yes, I do agree. not really one for the kids. I wonder if by the time they're old enough if they'll even care... :)

I read on a website, I can't remember the address now, but he got into a test screening of the film and said "There's nothing to worry about, Watchmen will not suck." That put me at ease and now I lack doubt nagging my ass.

I think it will be the best movie ever. By far, the best comic-inspired movie

Everything I hear suggests it's not kid friendly, though you can decide yourself after you see it ^.^
