A traditional painting from me Acrylic on Illustration board...16''x20''. I've been wanting to do some real painting for a while now. finally decided to jump into the deep end
Excellent work there man
I have been debating for some time now to break out my traditional supplies and do a painting... Painter has held my hand for quite some time.
Could I get a close up of this one? I'd like to see a small portion of your brush strokes... I always find that the most fascinating part of a traditional piece.
thanks...it took a little while...I did it mostly in one night. then let it sit overnight and worked on it some more the next day. i guess total about 7 or 8 hours i think...i didn'treally keep track.
Ugh. Acrylic is such a difficult media to blend, but I blame all those hours painting and colouring in photoshop for my, how should one put this, impotency with the medium. Dabbling in watercolours right now, but I feel for ya dude, I really do....
i felt exactly the same way when i started with acrylics. I kept thinking 'i use painter because I like to blend my colors...this stuff is driving me crazy'. but like anything the more you work with it, the easier it is to use. now i'm loving it
